Information about the processing of personal data

The Administrator of your personal data provided with the registration for the FORTECHENVI Conference 2019 is Mendel University in Brno, Company Registration Number 62156489 with the Registered Office at Zemědělská 1665/1, Brno. The processing of personal data provided by you is necessary for the preparation and organization of the event.

Legal basis for the processing of personal data is Article 6 paragraph 1 letters b), f) GDPR, because their processing is required for fulfilling the contract (namely ensuring of your participation in the event) and for justified administrator's concerns (e.g. forwarding of messages concerning Conference organization and photographic documentation). In some cases, your data can be processed pursuant to Article 6 paragraph 1 letter c) GDPR due to their necessity for the fulfilling of administrator's legal obligation.

Personal data is not given to other persons if their handing over is not imposed to the University by a special legal regulation or the Conference participants has not granted his/her consent thereto. In the processing of personal data within the organization of the Conference, there is no automatic decision-making, based on which actions or decisions would be made whose contents would be interference with the rights or legitimate interests of citizens.

Your personal data will be processed only for the period of 12 months from their provision. After this lapse of time, it will be liquidated or further kept for the time given by the valid Filing and Shredding Plan issued in line with Act no. 499/2004 Gaz., on archives and filing service.
In connection with the processing of your personal data, you have a right to access your personal data, to correct or delete it, eventually to limit the processing and object to their processing, or to apply the right for data portability and other rights according to general regulation on the protection of personal data. You are encouraged to apply your rights and requirements with the appointee for personal data protection. Your requirements will be at all times duly assessed and cleared in line with the corresponding provisions of the general regulation. In the case you will not agree with the clearance of your requests and requirements, you have a right to submit complaint at the Office for Personal Data Protection. The Academy Hall accommodation

Mendel University in Brno will process your personal data pursuant to Article 6 paragraph 1 letters b), c) GDPR due to fulfilling the contract and legal obligation related to your accommodation. The data will not be made accessible nor will they be handed over to a third party if such an obligation is not imposed on the University by a special law. Information about the application of rights against the processing of personal data is publicized on the websites of Mendel University in Brno.

Conference Proceedings

Conference Proceedings are integral part of the Conference. Among other things, all texts will include data about their authors: first name, surname, institution and e-mail address. As a document about the Conference, the Conference Proceedings are sent for archiving purposes to the library of Mendel University in Brno.

Personal data protection during the Conference

Participation and public appearance at the Conference are voluntary actions. It is up to conference participants what personal data they will present about themselves. During the FORTECHENVI 2019 Conference held from 9 – 12 September 2019, video and audio recordings will be made including photographic documentation. This is why the conference participants will be required according to legislation in force upon their arrival during registration for their written consent with the processing of personal data in the form of photographic documentation as well as video and audio recordings. If their consent is not expressed in writing, they will not appear in the video and audio recordings or in photographs taken at the Conference.

The Department of Engineering at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University in Brno, residing at Zemědělská 3, 616 00 Brno, as an organizer of the FORTECHENVI 2019 International Conference is not to be held accountable for video and audio recordings or photographs from this Conference taken and publicized by a third party.
